Under VALUE OF MEDTECH, IMSTA – The Irish Medical & Surgical Trade Association – organises a series of events to promote medical technologies! Between 19-23 June, join us to find out more about what medical technologies are and how they help people around the world. Where? In the beautiful city of Dublin:
To mark MedTech Week 2017, the medical device company Medtronic in collaboration with IMSTA will host a technology exhibition and drop-in centre on Tuesday, 20 June, at 2.30 pm in Buswells Hotel, Molesworth St, Dublin. The event, which will make clinicians and patient groups available to chat to people, aims to raise awareness of incontinence and the innovative therapies that are available. The event has been promoted in one of the biggest Irish newspapers, The Irish Times.
Nicola Dames, founder & CEO of Vanilla Blush, will provide models to take part in a photo shoot on Dublin’s busiest pedestrian street, Grafton Street, on 21st June to promote the value of medtech to patients. The models will all be showcasing fashionable underwear which conceals Stoma bags with the caption what have these people got in common. You can check out Vanilla Blush here.
IMSTA in association with the RCPI and the Health Service Executive will launch the medtech supply industry’s support for the EQUALS INITIATIVE which is an RCPI programme aimed at sending decommissioned medical equipment to the third world. This also involves biomedical/clinical engineering support personnel for training users on the use of the equipment provided by industry.
